If Houston Ground Angels is not able to provide transportation for you and you decide to use a taxicab, here is important information you will need regarding taxicabs in Houston:
Always obtain a receipt after your ride and make sure to record the taxi number and the name of the taxi company. You will need this information should you accidently leave anything in the taxicab or if you should have a complaint.
If you are going to or from Bush Intercontinental or Hobby Airports, the City of Houston has established flat rates for taxi rides. You should be charged the flat rate, or the meter rate, whichever is LOWER.
For Bush to or from the Medical Center area, the flat rate is $60.00.
For Hobby to or from the Medical Center area, the flat rate is $32.00.
There will be an additional charge of $2.75 for rides originating at Bush and $1.25 for rides originating at Hobby. This will be added to the fare whether it is the flat rate or the meter charge.
These rates are as of May 1, 2012 and may be changed by the city at any time.
Anyone over 60 years of age is entitled to a discount of 10% of the fare.

The Super Shuttle, a shared-ride van service which costs about $25.00 to or from Bush and the Medical Center and about $20 to or from Hobby and the Medical Center for one passenger. Additional passengers will be charged a lower fare.

A Metro Bus operates between Terminal C at Bush Airport and downtown. This costs $1.25 per person (exact change required). From the downtown terminal, you could then take a taxi to your hotel or hospital for much less than the ride from Bush Airport.
